WINE TABLE "Burgenland's Burgundy – White Elegance at the Highest Level" For a long time, red wine and sweet wine from Burgenland were primarily anchored in the minds of wine enthusiasts, but today, the elegant white wines have long since gained a growing significance. However, the area development, especially for the Burgundy varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Neuburger – is not very encouraging: Currently, about 1300 hectares of white Burgundy varieties are planted in Burgenland, with a slight downward trend! At this wine table, we want to present some top Burgundies and show how much these elegant white wines contribute positively to the positioning of "white" Burgenland.
