Workshop | Wiener Weave: Give Your Chair a New Life

Experience three inspiring days of traditional craftsmanship: In the Wiener Weave workshop, you will learn the classic technique of Wiener weaving under the expert guidance of Marina Frey from the Allgäu region. Step by step, a new weave will be created on your brought chair or piece of furniture.

The workshop aims to help preserve existing furniture pieces and make them usable again. By learning the traditional technique of Wiener weaving, craft knowledge is passed on. Damaged chair weaves can be repaired independently, and valuable pieces can be preserved for the long term.

Duration: THU April 16 – SAT April 18, 2026
Course Times: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM each day
Location: Werkraum Bregenzerwald, Andelsbuch
What to Bring: A piece of furniture (e.g., an old bentwood chair) on which you would like to renew the seat or backrest. Tools will be provided.
