Art für Regentage

Have you lost the time to take care of yourself? In this performance, the artists grapple with time – for themselves, for each other, and for care under extreme conditions. How do you care when everything is unstable: in a storm, at great heights, under pain? British circus director Jason Dupree, choreographer Alise Bokaldere, and aerialist Izabele Kuzelyte create a hypnotic, powerful work that combines contemporary dance, hair-hanging, tightrope walking, and reinterpreted Baltic folk music. One dancer, one acrobat, and one rope – connected in a relationship that is constantly changing. Art For Rainy Days is a collective of a circus artist, a dancer, and a dramaturg. From their different perspectives, a common goal emerges: to inspire each other, share ideas, and develop new artistic forms. Their works feel like a tranquil daydream – art that arises from those small projects to relax, breathe, and find time for oneself again. The production has received multiple awards, including the Latvian Dance Prize 2023/24 and second place at the Brighton Fringe 2025. Critics praise the show as technically brilliant and emotionally powerful.
