TOURDATA
Hausmeningerstraße 221, 3362 Amstetten
Individual patients come to our village on Sunday afternoons; we talk to them and listen to them. They share stories about their work, their cows, and their fruit trees. Naturally, they are offered cider and bread.
Another sister-in-law mentions that a patient plays a serenade for her on his flute repeatedly on the bench in front of her house.
In conjunction with the state exhibition, a one-and-a-half-hour guided tour (including a program) through the village of Mauer-Öhling is offered for groups and individual guests.
We follow the path that former "patients" also took and share stories at a few stations about the moving and good interactions and amusing experiences of patients and the local population (from around 1950 to 1970).
