ABOUT THE CONCERT
The Liszt Festival Raiding opens its new season with a program that impressively highlights the connection between Raiding, the birthplace of Franz Liszt, and Bayreuth, the place of Liszt's death and a central location for Richard Wagner's work. The Wiener KammerOrchester, which has long become an important artistic partner of the festival, places Liszt's sonorous "Festklänge" and his famous symphonic poem "Les Préludes" in a thrilling dialogue with Wagner's imposing opera overtures. An opening concert that unites historical depth, orchestral brilliance, and immediate fascination, expressing the special mission of the Liszt Festival at the birthplace of one of Europe's most significant musicians. For the first time, one of Austria's most experienced and versatile artistic personalities, Martin Sieghart, will be at the conductor's podium.
