Lower Austria Winner Wine Tasting

The Festival Hall in St. Pölten will become a stage for the best wines from Lower Austria on June 19, 2026. The tasting of the current state winners and finalists in 24 categories is hosted by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture and Wine Lower Austria from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Over 300 top wines from the leading wine-growing region of Lower Austria will be available.

The state wine award is the largest independent wine competition in the country: This year, the best wines in 24 categories were selected from more than 6,000 submissions: still and sparkling, classic and robust, aged and with residual sweetness, including rosé or natural wines. The award-winning wines will be presented for the first time in the impressive setting of the Festival Hall in the state capital. The NÖ Winner Tasting offers a unique opportunity to engage with renowned winemakers and discover new wines from all eight wine-growing regions of Lower Austria.

Getting there by public transport is very easy: It takes only 35 minutes by train from Vienna (just a few minutes from the train station to the Festival Hall) or via the extensive network of VOR buses from all over the region (with a stop at Landhaus nearby). Those arriving by car can conveniently park in the underground garage beneath the Festival Hall.
