Chamber Music Festival: Cello & Bass

The Chamber Music Festival with the concert "Cello & Bass" promises a unique musical experience! On August 20th at 7:30 PM, an exciting concert featuring an innovative ensemble of cello and brass instruments will take place at the Cultural Hall Hart near Graz. Under the direction of Dorottya Standi, the brass ensemble BrassBalance Sopron will perform works by composers ranging from historical to contemporary, including Purcell, Morricone, and Tristan Schulze. The program includes:
- Henry Purcell – Trumpet Tune
- Victor Ewald – Brass Quintet No. 1 in B-flat major, op. 5
- Edward Elgar – Nimrod from the Enigma Variations, op. 36
- Ennio Morricone – The Italian Western (arranged by Marco Pierobon)
- Tristan Schulze – Concerto for Cello and Brass, op. 59
