With "Kathrin & Werner Unterlercher goes symphonic," TONspur V offers you a concert experience of a special kind. With their program "HARPHONIC," the duo fulfills a long-held dream: Together with their own symphony orchestra, they bring their music to the stage in a completely new dimension. The combination of Tyrolean folk harp and classical double bass forms the heart of their unmistakable sound. Embedded in a symphonic soundscape, multifaceted arrangements emerge that impressively connect tradition and modernity. The Tyrolean couple has long been a fixture in the Alpine music scene. Werner Unterlercher, as a long-time member of the Herbert Pixner Project, travels internationally, while Kathrin Unterlercher forges new musical paths with her own compositions. Together, they captivate with virtuosic interplay, creative energy, and a strong stage presence. Well-known pieces like "Flowers," "Orphan Black," or "Eldorado" appear in "HARPHONIC" in a new orchestral guise. Supported by high-caliber musicians and the renowned Varga Quartet, a sound spectrum unfolds that ranges from the roots of folk music to genre-crossing, symphonic arrangements. The Varga Quartet, one of the most established chamber music ensembles in Central Europe, is known for sensitive, technically brilliant interpretations and adds great musical depth to the ensemble. Together, they create an extraordinary concert evening full of emotion, dynamics, and sonic diversity. In good weather, the concert takes place on the TONspur stage by the storage pond; in bad weather, it will be held at AsitzBräu.
