TOURDATA
Lurgrottenstraße 1, 8120 Peggau
Below brings the chamber music festival to a place where sound and rock form their own echo: the Lurgrotte Peggau in Styria. On August 26, the show cave transforms into a path filled with music, footsteps, and surprising soundscapes. The duo Two Bellows, consisting of Aleksandar Kolovski and Anna Kolovska, will create an evening of wandering concert with two accordions. Instead of rows and a stage, there will be movement, cool air, and views of stalactites, water, and corridors in the mountain. This is exactly what makes this concert so special: music is not only created in front of the audience but also in the middle of the space and along the shared path through the grotto. The Lurgrotte maintains a temperature of around 10 degrees Celsius year-round, so sturdy footwear and warm clothing are well-suited for this concert evening. There are no seats available. The approximately one-kilometer-long path leads deeper into the cave, with music being played at several stations. Thus, an evening emerges from world music, natural sounds, and the unique acoustics that begins quietly and gains depth with each step. Below connects concert and excursion in a harmonious way and shows how closely culture and landscape are intertwined in the Graz experience region. Those who wish to experience Peggau from its quiet, impressive side will find music with character, intimacy, and a touch of adventure here. Between stalactites and quiet paths, Peggau reveals how open chamber music can sound: close to nature, close to the musicians, and full of small moments that linger in the ear and mind.
