Concert Miriam Hanika - Veronika, Spring is Here

She is the "master of subtle tones" (Folker) and an "outstanding poet" (WDR 4). Above all, the musician is an exceptional talent who breaks all conventions by playfully switching between singing, oboe, English horn, and piano, setting new standards as a multi-instrumentalist. Lyrical texts, a warm oboe tone, and extraordinary arrangements, whether solo or with the Poesie Orchester – Miriam Hanika's sound cosmos bathes in the boundlessness of music. She is a prizewinner of numerous singer-songwriter competitions (including the Peter Rohland Singing Competition, Bonn Peace Song Competition, Giesinger Culture Prize) and a recipient of the Hanns Seidel Foundation's 23/24 Promotion Prize (Promotion Prize for young singer-songwriters). In 2021, Miriam Hanika received the Music Scholarship from the City of Munich. She is a founding member of the Dandelion Quintet, with which she won first prize at the international Ars Ventus Chamber Music Competition in 2019. Her albums are released under Konstantin Wecker's label Sturm & Klang ("Wanderlust," 2019, and "Louise," 2021, nominated for the German Record Prize). With her current release "Wurzeln & Flügel" (2023, also Sturm & Klang), she is currently on tour across Germany.
