Zoosafari für Ferienkinder im Zoo Landau

Zoo Safari for holiday children with the Landau Zoo School on Thursday, October 23, from 2 PM to 4:30 PM
The Landau Zoo School offers a very special event in cooperation with the Tourism Office of the city of Landau in the Palatinate for children aged 6 to 12 years who are spending their holidays in Landau and the surrounding region: the “Zoo Safari”. During a two-and-a-half-hour experiential tour through the Landau Zoo, children have the opportunity to observe animals in their enclosures and even experience them up close. They will learn about unique features and gain interesting insights into the lives of zoo animals. How much meat does a tiger eat in a day? How can zookeepers tell the penguins apart? How small is a kangaroo when it is born? Additionally, the tour will cover the work of a modern zoo to explain the purpose of zoos today and how they contribute to the conservation of endangered species. Of course, children can also ask their own questions, and the educators will have great teaching materials such as eggs, furs, feathers, and skulls to touch and marvel at. This way, the zoo tour will become a unique experience for all holiday children!

Registration for the Zoo Safari is required, which can be done at the Tourism Office by calling 06341-13 83 10.

It starts at 2:00 PM, and the meeting point is at the zoo entrance from 1:45 PM.
Please note that during the holiday season, there can be a lot of activity at the zoo entrance in the afternoon, so please bring your child to the zoo on time.

 Cost: 12.50 € (ONLY IN CASH!) for the Zoo Safari plus 2.50 € zoo admission!

 The Landau Zoo reserves the right to cancel the event due to weather conditions or to shorten it as necessary.
