The General Directorate of Cultural Heritage Rhineland-Palatinate invites families to explore life on a Roman estate during a child-friendly tour on the Day of Open Monuments. During the tour with the guide Carmen Müller, families will learn exciting details about life in our region during the time of the Romans. The wealthy owner built the Villa Otrang as a magnificent house with a luxurious bathing facility and adorned his living spaces with colorful mosaics that can still be discovered today.

The animals that lived on a farm back then, as well as the products that were grown, will be presented alongside information about the food and drink of the Romans. The tour will also be complemented by various objects that the children can touch.
