Diabelli Summer 2026 - Festive Finale

Franz Schubert's setting of Psalm 92 (1828) is the first music by a non-Jewish composer for the synagogue. The Schubertiades were characterized by religious freedom. This is complemented by the festive E-flat major mass by the most famous Mattseer, Anton Diabelli, Schubert's publisher – and the brilliant guitar concerto by Mauro Giuliani, a contemporary who worked in Vienna for a long time. Beethoven appears as a surprise guest. For the first time in Mattsee, the charismatic musician Gordon Safari is a guest with his acclaimed ensemble.
