Hochmair, where are you?

Inspired by his new biography "Hochmair: Where Are You," he offers personal insights into his life in his performance, as well as imaginative associations with the respective venues. Real events blend with the invented, poetry with truth, imagination with experience. What emerges is a self-dissection, a soul striptease that allows for unexpected moments regarding the life and work of the artist.

For instance, during a performance in Haag, Upper Austria, at the site of his childhood, his grandfather's hat becomes a voodoo gadget. At the Thalia Theater Hamburg, the costume of the Puss in Boots – one of his early roles – takes center stage. And Albin Skoda's underwear becomes a constant companion and presumably the only great love of the multiple award-winning actor and entertainer. Each performance is not only a new experience for the audience but especially for Hochmair himself as the protagonist.
