100 Years of Viktoria-Adelheid Shelter at Brandstetterkogel

ÖTK Section Strudengau invites you to the grand anniversary weekend! The ÖTK Section Strudengau is celebrating a very special anniversary this year: The Viktoria-Adelheid Hut on Brandstetterkogel looks back on 100 years of history. For a century, it has been a popular meeting place for hikers, nature lovers, and families from the region – a place of encounter, movement, and community. The historical image from 1926 impressively showcases the origins of our hut. What began as a simple shelter and resting place has developed over generations into an integral part of club life and regional hiking culture.

Anniversary celebration on August 29 and 30, 2026
The grand festival weekend will take place at the end of August:

• August 29, 2026 - "Kogelfest"
A social gathering with music, regional food, and a cozy atmosphere around our hut. A day for everyone who wants to enjoy nature and celebrate together.

• August 30, 2026 - Festive Ceremony
An official ceremony reflecting on 100 years of hut history, honors, and a festive program. The ÖTK Section Strudengau is looking forward to welcoming numerous guests, companions, and friends of mountain sports. Together into the next 100 years!

The ÖTK, founded in 1869, is the second oldest and now the third largest alpine club in Austria.

Section Strudengau
The Strudengau section is dedicated to the preservation of the Gobelwarte and Brandstetterkogel Hut, as well as the maintenance of the popular Matras Trail. To make all this possible, we ask for your support and are looking for new members for our club!
