EVA PETRIČ: HOLES IN LIGHT

In her live performance HOLES IN LIGHT, multimedia artist Eva Petrič engages with the traces humanity leaves on Earth. In addition to the materials of her spatial installation I DIDN’T PROMISE YOU A FOURTH SUN – including objects made from recycled, handcrafted lace and Plexiglas sculptures – shadow serves as an important means of expression, symbolizing human presence with all its positive and negative impacts. In the new cultural space RaxworX in the former church of Hirschwang, analog photography, satellite images, texts, video, and sound recordings merge with the artist's actions into a thought-provoking paraphrase about the relationship between us humans and our planet. Eva Petrič, born in Slovenia, lives in Ljubljana, Vienna, and New York, has published several books, and is internationally successful with her exhibitions and performances.
