The Great Peace Concert in the Basilica of Mariazell
As part of the opening weekend of the Mariazell Advent, Mariazell is making a striking statement for peace and solidarity: In the unique atmosphere of the Basilica of Mariazell, tenor Paolo Scorianò, the Belcanto Youth Orchestra, and the GIBS Student Children's Choir will present a festive concert full of sound, emotion, and hope.
The program features international Christmas classics, touching peace songs, and traditional Austrian Advent and Christmas music – a musical connection between a global message and regionally rooted tradition. The impressive light design additionally transforms the basilica into a special experiential space and gives the concert an extraordinary atmosphere.
The concert will be recorded by ORF, highlighting the special significance of this musical highlight of the Mariazell Advent. A moving concert evening filled with festive sounds, powerful voices, and a strong message for peace.
