"With the Pinzgauer around the world"

In the 8th year of the ongoing world circumnavigation project, the 100,000-kilometer mark was reached. Much longer, much farther, and overall, far more has happened than ever expected – much more. The protagonists of the project, the over 35-year-old Pinzgauer and the Salzburger Friedl Swoboda, maintain a close friendship, and both have a lot to share about this long, shared journey. Highs and lows under very different conditions in various countries have created a self-sufficient, nearly optimal duo. Much of what has been experienced has transformed through repeated experience into insight and ultimately into knowledge, which the long-term traveler now recounts in retrospect. However, it is quite evident that the perspective on past events noticeably changes with the passage of time. A significant milestone has now been reached, but before that, several other stations were passed, not only in a physical or geographical sense, but the soul of the traveler has also matured and evolved. The stories of Friedl and his "Desert Fox" are not a dissertation of a list of attractions, but rather an almost randomly chosen path, deeply shaped by emotions, leaving its marks on both man and machine with distinctly different highlights. Now, the travel project continues to advance, and as the last third approaches, there is hope that new adventures will come along, and with the likely unceasing nature of exploration...
