"Sondaschule" translates to "special needs school" or "school for children with special educational needs" in English.

Three years after their celebrated album "Unbesiegbar," Sondaschule is back with a new record. After reaching number 2 in the album charts, completing three completely sold-out tours in a row through the biggest clubs in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as holding prominent positions at major festivals, one could say that the six musicians from the Ruhr area have achieved what they have always dreamed of.

However, their triumphant journey was overshadowed in 2021 by a heavy loss: just before the release of "Unbesiegbar," founding member and guitarist Daniel "Blubbi" Junker passed away unexpectedly. This was a turning point that shook the band but also shaped them. With "Wir bleiben wach," Sondaschule rises again—newly formed, strengthened, and full of unbridled energy.
