ARSONORE International Music Festival of Surprises Graz ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE ... At some point, enough is enough. All the "hate bots" on social media, all the hostilities one is sometimes exposed to from a significant community, often in an instant, if one holds even slightly different opinions. All the often deliberately orchestrated division that is slowly but surely trying to undermine our society. A fact-based discussion seems increasingly impossible - most of the time it quickly becomes personal. But in truth, we don’t want that at all. And we certainly don’t want it at ARSONORE. Our highest good is still our inner and outer peace. The language of the heart and humanity. And the nutrient for all of it has always been nothing other than ... LOVE. It connects us as human beings, inspires us to achieve greatness, lets us soar. It opens, liberates, and brings us joy. Our charming little, fine festival has dedicated itself this year to perhaps one of its most beautiful tasks yet: to trace love in many of its countless facets and to become more aware of it again. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace," Jimi Hendrix already knew. For five days, we want to illuminate our world with wonderful music, exquisite poetry, and extraordinary artistic highlights, and we warmly invite you to experience love not only in diverse ways anew but also to bring it back to the center of our actions. You will see how happy that can make you. Markus Schirmer, Artistic Director Wednesday, September 2, 2026 7:30 PM EVENING CONCERT at Schloss Eggenberg, Planetensaal "LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED!" Due to the enthusiastic reactions to our discussion round last year with Michael Lehofer, the small ARSONORE Philosophicum is making a return to our music festival, with the bestselling author this time inviting Erika Pluhar, one of the most significant personalities in Austrian theater, for a dialogue about love as the spiritual and existential force of our being. Whenever Austria's accordion magician Christian Bakanic creates a completely new program, it celebrates its steadily growing fan base with lasting enthusiasm. Together with his highly charismatic duo partner Marie Spaemann, he begins with a sensual array of the most beautiful melodies and love songs. In the second part, he astonishes with an absolute novelty: What does it sound like when you take the most famous love hits in the world and cheekily transform them into Styrian or Viennese dialect? Of course, fresh, juicy, and in the truest sense of the word 'unheard.' This charming top group can only be embraced in the heart.
