"Let's do something with Mozart" – with this sentence from lead singer Ramadu, an extraordinary musical journey began more than 20 years ago.
Today, MoZuluArt regularly captivates audiences with their fusion of two seemingly opposing musical cultures: melodies from Mozart, Bach, and Haydn are combined with elements of African singing traditions, the characteristic harmonies of male voices, and the typical clicking sounds of the Ndebele and Xhosa. From Dakar to New York and from Nyon to Beirut, this successful blend for three voices and a piano has already caused a sensation.
Now the musicians, supported by the Ambassade String Quartet, are bringing the mix of traditional Zulu sounds and European classical music back to the Semmering stage!
