For over five decades, Peter Cornelius has been one of the most successful singer-songwriters in the German-speaking world. Many of his songs have long become part of the common cultural heritage – classics such as "Reif für die Insel," "Segel im Wind," and of course "Du entschuldige i kenn di." In 2026, the exceptional artist will turn 75 and will celebrate this milestone with a major tour! Peter Cornelius, who was born in Vienna in 1951, is one of the most influential German-speaking songwriters. His music is always inspired by personal experiences and societal observations. "Sometimes I write and compose, whether I want to or not – reflexively. As if it were the most natural thing in the world to do."
