"Damenwahl" translates to "Ladies' Choice" in English.

Ladies' Choice is the name of the ensemble in which three outstanding female musicians from three different regions of Austria come together to make music. With harp, double bass, flutes, tuba, guitar, clarinet, Styrian harmonica, and dulcimer in tow, Katrin Unterlercher, Renate Linortner, and Christina Fischbacher create an extraordinary musical experience. Crossover music at its finest. Each of the musicians contributes her own ideas and offers insights into her unique musical world. At the center is folk music, but the program also includes excursions into the world of opera, brought in by Renate Linortner from the Vienna Volksoper, as well as hot tango rhythms. Tradition and creativity connect these three musicians, who met as teachers at Woodstock Academy and who courageously, profoundly, playfully, and soulfully sing, play, and make music together at the highest level.
