“People, Countries, Adventures” takes the audience on an extraordinary musical journey that brings to life the fascination of travel and the longing for the unknown. Under the direction of Bernd Gaudera, the conductor of the City Band Landau, we experience a variety of musical impressions that lead us to distant lands and exciting adventures.

A special highlight is the work “Around the World in 80 Days” by O. M. Schwarz, which inspires the imagination and dramatically brings to life the travels of Phileas Fogg. Film scores such as “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Robin Hood” blend in and transport us into the world of pirates, adventurers, and legends.

But the concert offers even more: imaginative programmatic works about well-known and lesser-known explorers, real and fictional journeys – from Marco Polo to the Puszta, from Oregon to Mazama – provide deep insight into the unshakeable curiosity and courage of travelers.
