Johann Christian Kestner as the groom and Friedrich Wilhelm Gotter as a poetic jurist have a highly different perspective on Johann Wolfgang Goethe and the love-confusing events of the summer of 1772, when Goethe fell in love with Kestner's fiancée, Charlotte Buff.
