When the first leaves change color, the nights grow colder, and the air is filled with the scent of forest and moss, the rutting season begins for the red deer.
Following an exciting journey through the experience exhibition "Wilderness Dreams," guests venture out into nature: Together with rangers, they can discover the secrets of the largest mammal in the Eifel National Park.
To do this, one must drive with a private vehicle to the parking lot Rothirsch-Aussichtsempore in Dreiborn.
The hike offers breathtaking views over the open land of the Dreiborner Hochfläche. With a bit of luck, one can observe red deer during the rut.
In addition to sturdy footwear and suitable clothing, binoculars are a good addition.
The combination of the guided tour and hike lasts a total of three hours.
