From 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Bitburg transforms into a large playground for young and old. Over 40 exhibitors invite you to participate, discover, and inform with a variety of activities.
The organizers – the Bitburg Business Association e.V., the Engaged City of Bitburg e.V., and the city marketing – combine the idea of a lively club festival with a creative participation and game concept for all generations.
From House of Youth Bitburg to Maximiner Woods, visitors can expect a diverse program with many exciting areas of experience:
Creative & Craft
A large marble run workshop, nesting box construction, crafting of flying gliders, upcycling actions, and many other creative offers invite participation.
Sport & Action
Whether 3x3 basketball, a halfpipe for skaters, wheelchair basketball or a companion dog course, bouncy castles, pétanque, and much more – here, joy of movement and team spirit come into their own.
Brain Games & Strategy
A large chessboard in the format of 2 x 2 meters, intercultural games, giant scrabble offer challenges for clever minds and curious explorers.
Commitment & Togetherness
A particular focus is on topics such as sustainability, dental hygiene, and offers for preventing loneliness – important impulses for a strong sense of togetherness.
Music & Culture
Of course, music and dance cannot be missed. Young talents can learn about various instruments or dances from the trainers.
Dinos & Romans
A gigantic Apatosaurus is a real eye-catcher and guided tours about the Romans are offered for families.
The shops in the city center open their doors from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and also invite guests to participate, exchange ideas, and relax while strolling.
On the stage “Am Spittel” music and dance groups will present themselves throughout the day and provide excellent entertainment.
A special highlight is the mascot parade, which will march through the pedestrian zone at 1:30 p.m. Various mascots from the region spread good cheer before there is a joyful meet & greet at and around the stage “Am Spittel” starting at 2:00 p.m.
Another festive program point is the presentation of the volunteer medal by Mayor Heiko Jakobs, which takes place around 3:00 p.m.
This special event is supported by a strong community: the Bitburg Business Association e.V., the House of Youth Bitburg, the Youth Council Bitburg, the Engaged City of Bitburg, and the city marketing. Together, they show how vibrant and committed Bitburg is.
Of course, there is also plenty of delicious food and drink available for everyone's enjoyment.
