On the premises, alongside the monastery with the guest wing, there are various monastery businesses. The monastery generates its income from these operations. Particularly noteworthy is that there is a self-operated combined heat and power plant, where the abbey also produces part of its own energy. With its own spring from which Maria Laach sources its water, there is also self-sufficiency here.
