Concert - Michael Fitz

Of course, one might think that, with this title, after eighteen years of solo work,
it's about the... well, the last solo program of Michael Fitz. And yes, maybe that is the case? But to say goodbye in this
wistful and somewhat pity-seeking tone, with the motto "I'm off to retirement," is not the thing of the almost 67-year-old Bavarian,
who still has so much ahead of him.
Exactly that is the problem. How should one still accommodate all the ideas and dreams in a life that is already filled to the
roof with music and poetry?
One certainly doesn’t just put them in a drawer and let them yellow there, but takes
them with him, to where they belong. On stage, to the people. Just setting a personal point here and there,
inspired by everything that happens in our wonderful and terrible world, chewed, digested and
reflected in his unmistakable poetic manner in Bavarian dialect.
With his own, matured singing voice accompanied by a whole host of different acoustic guitars within reach,
Michael Fitz once again sits on his stool and tells and sings from the whole, rich fullness of life, often condensed into a
concise essence that allows space for the audience's own thoughts, contemplations, and feelings. No,
"farewell" tours and anniversary performances are not his thing. He prefers to leave that to others. And still: Who
knows if this is a final point? That’s something life, as it wishes, will have to decide.
