Historischer Weihnachtsmarkt

On the first Advent weekend, the historic Christmas market in Oberwesel invites you to browse and enjoy once again.

On Saturday, extended opening hours for shops in the city center.

The Christmas market takes place on Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29, 2026, at the historic marketplace and in Rathausstraße. The city mayor is already looking forward with joy to his appointment with the kindergarten children from Oberwesel for decorating the tree. Christmas-wrapped "gifts" will find their place adorning the large Christmas tree in front of the town hall. The children will be rewarded for their packing efforts with sweets or chocolate personally from the city mayor.

Selected vendors will offer high-quality crafts, handmade goods, self-made jewelry, and much more on both days. A children's carousel, horse-drawn carriage, and a children's program are designed to delight the little visitors. Admission is free.
