“Living Cellar World - Traben-Trarbach Underworld”

Traben-Trarbach. On St. Jacob's Day – the guild wine festival of the city’s wine merchants 2008, the first underworld tour through the Traben-Trarbach wine cellars took place. In the meantime, over 10,000 visitors annually explore the cellars as part of the tour “Excursion into the Traben-Trarbach Underworld.” Other events, such as the Underworld Wine Tasting at the Moselle Wine Festival and the Moselle Wine Night Market, also take place in the underground wine cellars.
The underworld will be open on October 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, filled with life.

In various cellars of the “Traben-Trarbach Underworld,” visitors can expect an interesting and noteworthy program. Each cellar presents itself in a completely unique way. The theme of the “Traben-Trarbach Underworld” is prominent throughout. From the historical cellar work to the history of the tours, as well as the wine trade and production, visitors will learn a wealth of knowledge about the cellar world.

In the districts of Traben and Trarbach, four cellars will open their doors for this occasion.
