Baumwerfen im Weihnachtsdorf

The tree throwing is a sporting triathlon, where the three individual performances measured in cm are added to the total performance. Children only participate in the long throw (not the triathlon).

1. High throw in free execution over a high jump bar. Each person chooses their starting height. The start is at 2 meters. After each round, the height is increased by 25 cm. The highest height achieved is counted. Those who cannot clear the bar are eliminated.

2. Spin throw based on hammer throwing. A rope is attached to the stump of the tree, with which the tree is thrown into the sports field after at least one full rotation. Each participant has 3 attempts.

3. Long throw based on javelin throwing. Each participant has 3 attempts. Participants: Adults, youth (U18), children (U12). Youth may also throw with the adults to contribute to the team score. Children only participate in the long throw.

Sports facility Waldbreitbach, multifunctional area, lawn pitch

Competition equipment:

The competition equipment, which is the same for everyone, is a freshly cut tree for this competition. Length: Adults 1.50 m; Youth 1.20 m; Children 0.90 m. It is advisable to wear work gloves during the competition.

Scoring:

The individual scoring is conducted separately for the age groups male/female. The winner is the one who has achieved the highest total performance after completing all 3 disciplines. For the team scoring (adults, male/female separately), the 3 best placements of a team are added. The team with the lowest placement points is the winner. The results list will be published. Awards: The top 5 in each age group receive an instant certificate and medals, and the top 3 teams (male/female) receive trophies. The award ceremony takes place immediately after the competition on site.

Registrations:

Registration is possible starting from 01.11.2026! The entry fees depend on the registration time. Early registration is rewarded! Late registrations on the day are possible on-site in limited scope, as long as the respective limit has not yet been reached and the organization is not compromised.
