Wood Market 2026 - Noble Products from Domestic Woods

The idyllic Salzkammergut community of Traunkirchen is hosting a wood market this autumn. The wood market will take place at the Waldcampus Traunkirchen.

On August 29 and 30, the Waldcampus Traunkirchen, located in the former Buchberg area, will transform into a grand art arena for the local material wood and its artisanal and artistic processors. The wood market has established itself as a popular opportunity to showcase local handicrafts, as Traunkirchen and its surroundings boast a rich tradition in wood processing. Both local craft businesses and hobbyists will exhibit their work, with a focus on craftsmanship.

At the numerous sales stands, a wide range of individually crafted wooden utility items will be on display: decorative objects, toys, and various decorative wooden items. The area known as "living craftsmanship" always attracts special interest, where visitors can watch basket weavers, turners, carvers, and binders at work. The "Krippenfreunde Salzkammergut" association will also take the opportunity to showcase its diverse artistic wooden creations to the public. The Goldhaube and headscarf group will treat visitors to a large selection of local delicacies.
