The program features works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Julius Reubke, Olivier Messiaen, and Max Reger – including the monumental sonata on Psalm 94, where a tape recording of Ernst Jandl's recitation of the psalm adds impressive depth.

Schmitt, one of Europe’s most distinguished concert organists and Principal Organist of the Bamberg Symphony, showcases the tonal possibilities of the Kaiser-Jubiläumsorgel impressively – from delicate meditation to dramatic sound unfolding.
