An extraordinary evening of literature and music in Bad Ischl: In the historic Old Post Office, two great voices – Thomas Hampson and August Zirner – come together in a moving reading of the world-famous epistolary novel Address Unknown by Kathrine Kressmann Taylor.

The text tells the story of a friendship shattered in the shadow of National Socialism – compelling, relevant, and with unsettling clarity. Through the interplay of letters, an intense dialogue emerges about trust, ideology, and responsibility.

The reading is musically accompanied by the Ensemble Energizing Ukraine. Between jazz and improvisational moments, the musicians create their own sound space that deepens and extends the words.

A special evening as part of “Salon Post – Sound, Word & Encounter” – for culture enthusiasts, literature lovers, and guests who wish to experience moving art during their stay in the Salzkammergut.
