TOURDATA
Hauptplatz 1, 8330 Feldbach
The main square buzzes with up to 40 vendors. The market stallholders offer tools, clothing, toys, and not least, the pretty Kirtag hearts made of gingerbread. The local businesses and restaurants are also in on the action with great Kirtag offers. Special Kirtag dishes include Gröstl, Brein Wurst, and Kirtag soup. The Kirtag events extend along the longest fashion street in southeastern Austria (Ungarstraße and Bürgergasse) into the district of Grazer Straße. Going to the market is trendy. Farmers' markets, flea markets, and Kirtag markets are popular attractions in the shopping city of Feldbach.
There are six opportunities each year, which are aligned with religious holidays: Conversion of Paul (January 25), 40 Martyrs (March 11), Peregrin (May 2), Anna (July 26), Rupert (September 24), and Leonhard (November 6). The reimagining of the Kirtags as a "meeting point" is another component of the successful urban development program, where gastronomy, trade, service providers, and market vendors work together with the municipal government and the tourism association.
