After the great success of "Love Stories and Marriage Matters," the Vienna Metropol will once again bring a Nestroy classic to the stage in 2026 as an exhilarating musical theater production: "Lumpazivagabundus" – newly revived with the lively music of Carl Michael Ziehrer.
Three penniless journeymen unexpectedly win a fortune overnight. However, only one of them manages to use the unexpected luck wisely right away. Nestroy's timeless theater hit tells with wit and depth about dealing with happiness, temptation, and new opportunities.
Accompanied by Ziehrer's everlasting melodies – including the "Schönfeld March" and waltzes like "Wiener Madl’n," "Wiener Bürger," and "Hereinspaziert" – a sparkling stage delight full of humor and charm is created.
The roles of the "Rascally Cloverleaf" are played by Martin Muliar (Knieriem), Flo Stanek (Zwirn), and Aris Sas (Leim). Andy Lee Lang portrays Lumpazi. Additionally, Nazide Aylin (Palpiti), Tania Golden (Fortuna), Birgit Scheibenreif (Peppi), and Laura Luisa Hat will also be seen.
