Mourad Merzouki takes us on a kaleidoscopic journey through nearly 30 years of his choreographic work. Kaléidoscope is a celebration of versatility that unites the various facets of his choreographies – from hip-hop to circus to classical music.

In Kaléidoscope, Merzouki creates a danced retrospective of his works. Excerpts from different phases of his career come together in a new context, forming a visual and poetic collage. From Cage (1996) to Zéphyr (2021), the evolution of his signature style can be traced: energetic, open, and always in search of new perspectives for hip-hop and its interaction with other art forms.

As a significant choreographer of the urban scene, Mourad Merzouki connects different disciplines – from dance to circus to mixed martial arts and video. In 1996, he founded the Compagnie Käfig and has since been committed to promoting hip-hop dance art and its broad societal accessibility. At the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, Merzouki was responsible for the official dance choreography La Danse des Jeux, which was rehearsed in schools across France in preparation for the Olympic Games.
