THE NEXT GENERATION

Stage free for the stars of tomorrow: On June 22, 2026, the Raimund Theater will transform for one evening into a stage for musical talent. The Vereinigten Bühnen Wien (VBW) and the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK) will present the successful concert format WE ARE MUSICAL – THE NEXT GENERATION for the eighth time.

The focus will be on the graduates of the Institute for Musical Entertainment Theater (MUNTER), who will present highlights from the world of musicals in a varied program. The concert offers an exclusive insight into their training and simultaneously marks the transition to their professional careers.

In 2026, visitors can also look forward to special musical moments: alongside the young talents, selected star guests will share the stage with the graduates. The evening will be hosted by director and MUK lecturer Werner Sobotka, along with MUNTER institute director Alex. Riener. The musical accompaniment will be provided by a live band under the direction of Peter Uwira.
