Four decades in the service of music: Singer-songwriter Chris Watzik will celebrate his 40th stage anniversary in 2026. 40 years on stage - and he is still a loudmouth. The Styrian musician, singer, and guitarist Chris Watzik is celebrating a milestone this year: He has been performing on the stages of Austria and beyond for 40 years now. What began in 1985 has developed into a multifaceted career that encompasses genres such as rock, pop, and funk, ultimately culminating in Austropop. Initially performing as a solo artist, Chris Watzik founded the singer-songwriter band "SOLOzuVIERT'" in 2009, with which he toured for 11 years and released 5 albums. After the band's dissolution in 2020, the Styrian released a new solo album and has since been touring again with his own band. The 40th stage anniversary is an occasion for Watzik to reflect and look forward: "Four decades on stage mean countless stories, encounters, and of course, a lot of music."
