Improvisation and spontaneity are cornerstones of her concept, alongside her smoky singing voice. She addresses current social issues and never takes herself too seriously.

Contrary to the common beauty ideal, this "Barbie in XL format" defies Weight Watchers and fitness gurus, proving in an extremely self-ironic way that a woman with a few extra kilos can also look like a "de Luxe model." The press has described Daphne as a "comedy Valkyrie" who knows how to wrap her audience around her finger with her "unconditionally joyful aura," and there’s hardly anything to add to that.

Thanks to her vocal and performance skills, she has been working as an entertainer, comedian, presenter, singer, and actress since 1991. In April 2001, the Schauspielhaus Hannover gave her the opportunity to prove herself as an actress. She played the role of Madame Ida Totemar in the play "Victor or The Children in Power."

In July 2009, Daphne de Luxe placed second in the final show of the NDR Comedy Contest. In 2010, she won the audience award "Stockstädter Römerhelm." In 2011, Daphne de Luxe performed in the summer show of the NDR Comedy Contest and won the Franconian Cabaret Prize! In 2012, the native of Upper Franconia appeared in the Fastnacht show of BR "The Foolish Wine Tasting." In 2013, Daphne de Luxe sat on the red "DAS!" sofa with Bettina Tietjen (NDR) and has won several comedy and cabaret awards: the Stuttgart "Comedy Clash," the Kelkheim Comedy Prize "Throne of the Night Review," and the Datteln Cabaret Prize "Das Dattelner Nachtschnittchen." She also reached the finals of "Tegtmeiers Erben" and performed at the "Comedy Tower" (hr). Since 2014, Daphne de Luxe has been featured repeatedly in the Fastnacht shows of hr television and participated in the Cabaret Bundesliga 2014/2015, winning the "Everswinkeler Comedy Kanone 2014" and appearing for the first time at "Ladies Night" (WDR) in September 2014. In 2015, she won the bronze medal at the Cabaret Bundesliga 2014/2015. In 2016, Daphne appeared again in "Ladies Night" (ARD), performed for the first time at the Quatsch Comedy Club in Berlin, was nominated for the Oldcomer Award "Der alte Hut," and won the "St. Ingberter Pfanne" (Youth Jury). In addition to her four solo programs, she also tours with the Schmidt Show on Tour or as a guest of Gerburg Jahnke at "Frau Jahnke hat eingeladen..." In 2017, she was a guest for the first time on "Alfons und Gäste" (SR), and her fifth program "Tests of Patience – On Mothers-in-Law and Other Plagues" premiered. In 2018, she performed again in "Ladies Night" (ARD) and from 2019 alternated with her colleague Lisa Feller in hosting "Ladies Night." She is the patron and host of the "Sisters of Comedy – Nachgelacht" show in Hannover, which has been taking place nationwide since 2018.
