Hermann Choir

Like a houseplant, the audience of the Gesangskapelle Hermann is cultivated but also quite stubborn, needing just a little light but a lot to drink. And as soon as you take your eyes off it, it wilts: That’s why one must be prepared for everything, fertilize adequately, sometimes trim it, occasionally talk to it – and of course, sing to it. Their new program titled "Plants" blooms with nonsense and silliness, poking childishly at the humus of the present, a collection of new favorite songs, and offers a kind of exit scenario from the madness of the world into a self-built raised bed. With their usual musical anarchism, somewhere between a cappella and stadium rock, the Gesangskapelle Hermann once again manages to take their audience on a humorous and entertaining evening, where no eye remains dry.
