Production price of the 40th International Competition for Choreography Hannover 2026

TANZ LINZ and the Landestheater Linz are once again awarding the production prize of the renowned International Choreography Competition Hannover, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary from June 11 to 13, 2026. Following the successful collaboration with Giovanni Insaudo (premiere June 2025) and Lilit Hakobyan (premiere June 2026), the initiative offers one of the finalists the opportunity to choreograph a full-length dance piece in collaboration with TANZ LINZ.
With this funding prize, TANZ LINZ, consisting of 16 dancers, and the Landestheater Linz not only support emerging choreographers but also create space for innovative artistic explorations. The high international response underscores the significance of the competition: in 2025, nearly 400 applications were received from 56 countries.
