Wiener Blond Duo - What was that? Since 2012, Verena Doublier and Sebastian Radon have been performing together on the club, cabaret, and concert stages of this country. Initially equipped only with a loop station, a guitar, a cajón, and a handful of songs about various everyday adventures, the duo quickly created their own universe for their spectacular stage shows, thus gaining an international fanbase. In 2016, they released their second studio album "ZWA" under the self-created genre designation "Wienerlied-Beatbox-Pop," which features a song marking the beginning of their collaboration with the internationally renowned "Original Wiener Salonensemble." This partnership led to two subsequent albums ("endlich salonfähig!" - 2019 and "Sinfonien im Souterrain" - 2023), both of which were nominated for an Amadeus Award. In 2020, Wiener Blond released their most pop-oriented work to date with the album "Bis in der Früh." Together with musician and producer Albin Janoska, they demonstrated with this musical journey through "the off-peak hours of the day" that they feel just as comfortable in band and electronic sound as they do in the beatbox duo and string world. However, the common thread throughout every musical phase of the band is always the surprising lyrics, the Viennese accent, and the seamlessly crafted two-part harmony that gives each of their songs a Wiener Blond timbre.
