Every year, MONTI BETON celebrates a concert evening at the Metropol featuring music from the greatest and most successful band in pop and rock music history. The cult band takes the audience on a musical journey through the 60s, complete with many background stories and anecdotes.
1966 was full of highlights: The seventh studio album "Revolver" was released in August. Also in August, the Beatles performed their last paid concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, primarily due to the enormous stress of touring and the screaming fans who drowned out the music. By deciding to stop performing live, they began to experiment more intensively with sound technology. This creative phase manifested itself in another legendary album that would change pop music worldwide: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Recording for this album began in November 1966.
On this evening, Monti Beton will perform many examples from this era live and in a large ensemble: "Taxman," "Paperback Writer," "Yellow Submarine," "For No One." In addition, there will be other worldwide hits such as "Lady Madonna," "Let It Be," "Get Back," "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," "Here Comes the Sun," "A Day In The Life," and many more.
To top it off, there will, of course, be individual song gems from the solo careers of the artists. After 1970, John, Paul, George, and Ringo remained top sellers for decades with a guarantee of worldwide hits.
Everything will be presented in the typical style of MONTI BETON. An evening of superlatives in music and entertainment! In this spirit: "Come Together," "I hope someday you'll join us and the world will be as one," and "Love is the answer" (John Lennon)!
