Hans Sigl - The Christmas Show

With a selection of cheerful and reflective Christmas stories personally curated by Hans Sigl, the actor invites the audience to an atmospheric evening. Humorous texts by Heinz Erhardt and Axel Hacke, Christmas literary classics by Theodor Fontane and Charles Dickens, as well as enchanting winter fairy tales from Scandinavia, combine with musical interludes to create a varied program. The evening is framed by familiar friends: Michael Armann, who has been at the piano for decades when Sigl holds readings, improvises with double bassist Malte Tönissen and percussionist Almuth Lustig on Christmas classics like "Jingle Bells" or "Silent Night, Holy Night." At some shows, the Frankfurt trio of Bastian Weinig, Max Jentzen, and Nicolas Hering swings through the world-famous melodies.
