The day tours offer a varied program with guided tours through the Werkraum House, exciting insights into the work of our members, and visits in the region.

We start in Egg, where Walter Felder takes us on a tour through the village center. In recent years, the village center has transformed from a place dominated by traffic and asphalt into a meeting point. Egg has been nominated as one of 14 municipalities for the nationwide Austrian Building Culture Community Award. This award honors places that utilize what is available through renovation, new construction, or creative revitalization. The new mobility hub in Egg is part of the local development. The central bus hub in Bregenzerwald was designed by the architecture firm Felder Geser and implemented by O & S Bau. The core of the project is the newly constructed Schmittenbach Bridge, which supports the bus terminal. The precisely executed building in sand-colored exposed concrete connects the bridge, square, and traffic hub into a design and technically convincing overall work, where a site-specific artwork also finds its place.

Afterwards, Michael Pircher will guide us through the new company headquarters of Oberhauser & Schedler Bau, currently under construction. The high-quality exposed concrete building provides insight into the artisanal implementation and creates a modern working environment. With artisanal care and precision, work and communal spaces are created that reflect the company's ethos.

A short bus ride takes us to Werkraum Bregenzerwald. There, we will learn about the architecture of the house designed by Swiss architect Peter Zumthor during a guided tour, the current exhibition, and the otherwise inaccessible Werkraum Depot. The day concludes with a shared lunch at the Werkraum Café.
