"Last Aid Course" – Knowing How to Handle It in the End

Death and dying are among the taboo topics of our time. The Red Cross Eferding offers a "Last Aid Course" to provide valuable support for those confronted with the impending end of life of a loved one, helping them to accompany their loved ones competently and compassionately in their final phase of life.

The "Last Aid Course" is aimed at anyone who wants to acquire knowledge and skills for caring for seriously ill and dying individuals. Participants are encouraged to be present for their loved ones in the last phase of life. "When faced with the impending end of life of a relative, very few of us know how to handle this situation. However, this accompaniment is not a science, but rather practiced humanity, which is particularly possible within family and friends," says Andrea Katzlberger, the hospice coordinator of the Mobile Hospice Eferding.

The 4-hour course will take place on September 10, 2026, at the Red Cross Eferding.
