Special exhibition "Childhood in the Elz Valley"

Whether they’re photos, ballet shoes, or stuffed animals, they all tell a piece of a child’s story. The new special exhibition “Childhood in the Elztal” is dedicated to these stories. Through interviews with eyewitnesses and anecdotes spanning from the 1940s to the 2000s, we show how children and young people in the Elztal lived, learned, and played. To this end, the museum team spent over a year collecting personal stories and mementos from residents of the Elztal. They offer insight into individual experiences and invite visitors to compare them with their own memories. Immerse yourself in childhood memories from the Elztal and share your own childhood stories with us! You can also look forward to interactive stations in the exhibition and exciting events such as storytelling cafés, the first chess tournament at the Elztal Museum, and much more.
