For ten years, the Trojan War has raged on. Suddenly, the Greek besiegers disappear, leaving nothing behind but a gigantic wooden horse. "A gift from the defeated," people think. "A sacrifice to Pallas Athena." The horse is pulled into the city. At night, Greek fighters emerge from it. As ancient Troy is reduced to rubble by the Greeks, two children meet inside the Trojan horse. Briseis is Greek, Spourgitis is Trojan. Initially, there is nothing between them but learned hatred. The arrival of a capricious god does not change that. However, the tensions ease, and soon the two are confronted with the question of why their peoples are actually beating each other to a pulp.
